INTRO..
RNA molecules are single stranded and their nucleotides contain ribose rather than deoxyribose sugar.
-It contains four organic bases i.e.. adenine,cytosine,guanine and importantly uracil nucleotides.
-So there are 3 primary types of RNA;-
-Messenger RNA(mRNA) which has a role in transcription of DNA.
-Transfer RNA(tRNA) which has a role in translation of protein synthesis.
-Ribosomal RNA(rRNA) which is a component in cell organelles called ribosomes(consists of ribosomal proteins and rRNA.
-An important RNA called microRNAs have the ability to regulate gene expression,which is complementary to a part of one or more mRNAs.
So this tiny RNA molecule (miRNA) may have a role in polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance which is a latest research ...
-So lets see what is insulin resistence and PCOS and role of miRNA in these disorders??
-Insulin resistance is a condition in which the person's body tissue have become resistant to hormone insulin.
-It precedes the development of type2 diabetes(a non-insulin dependent diabetes).

-It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant.
-The body may have problem using insulin called insulin resistance which later leads to diabetes.
-so now, the small regulatory microRNAs i.e.. miRNA-93 inhibits the GLUT4(glucose transporter type 4 is the only one that responds to insulin).
-Over expression of miRNA-93 resulted in down regulation of GLUT4 gene expression in adipocytes through direct targeting of the GLUT4 3'UTR , while inhibition of miR-93 activity led to increased GLUT4 expression .
Conclusion;
-The researchers who involved in this investigation reveals new perceptiveness about polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance and acquainted the role of microRNAs.......
